Hello,

We have multiple scheduled PDF sensor reports to report uptime SLA. These reports contains only a few, sometimes only 1 sensor (ping sensor). The paper size is set to A4 with portrait orientation. In this case the output PDF has more pages, but only the first one has data, and others are blank pages, only the page number present on them. These blank pages are confusing, and unneccesary for our customers.

If I select none for the paper size, the situation is better, but the content does not fill the page with, the content does not allign to any margin (starts at 0px on the left, and there is a big empty space on the right), so it seems a bit unprofessional, so I would avoid using this form.

These reports are built-in reports, we did not modify it in any parts.

Please suggest some solution on these empty pages. Thank you very much!

Dear SKulcsar,

as of now, there is no solution, I am sorry. In some situations, the HTML to PDF rendering is not working correctly. We investigate possible solutions. In order to fix this, we have to make changes deep in the rendering pipeline which has a lot of implication for other parts of PRTG.

I agree that the current report output can lead to results which look not very professional. With recent PRTG releases we addressed some issues but there are some left. We are looking into it, if we can fix more issues (strange alignment, empty pages) which happen some, but not all of the time, before we get to deeper (and more time-consuming) improvements.

Hi PRTG Support,

This issue currently still happen from our end. Possible from your side is there is any permanent solution regarding this issue? As this we need to manually split the generated report and this is troublesome for us.

Dear Azim Mohammad,

regarding the PDF rendering, which version of PRTG do you currently use? It if its older than 19.2.50, please update. Does that fix the issue with blank pages or your side?
