Hello. I can't get the value from the Messages tab the syslog Receiver sensor api. How to fix it?

Hi there,

I'm afraid that an export of the Syslog Messages is not possible via the API at the moment, sorry. I will add you request to our wish list for future versions of PRTG. Additionally, have a look at the following site: How can I use PRTG’s syslog sensor and what are its limitations?

Best regards

Thank you. I looked it up. And how can you get data from Syslog PRTG?

Hi there,

We still have no plans to add the export functionality for Syslog and Trap Sensors.

Best regards.

More than a year later... is there any update? Do you suggest using some third party syslog which would be properly tested and supported by PRTG?

Hi there,

As mentioned, there are no plans to implement such a feature. This also won't change in the near future as PRTG is not a dedicated Syslog/SNMP Trap analysis and reporting tool. Unfortunately, we can't really recommend other tools as we do not have any partner in that field.

Best regards.
