Hey,
We are using the SNMP Traffic Sensor on our router to monitor the traffic rates in and out from our internet connection. The trouble is, when it goes down, it's still connected but the traffic just sits at 0.00mbps etc... Is there a way to change the sensor state to down after x seconds of 0.00mps etc? We've had it down for the weekend whilst our ISP looks into it but as far as PRTG is aware/reporting, it's up but no traffic is going through it. Its possibly something silly that I've missed. I can see you can set a notification but doesnt affect the downtime percentages etc...
Thanks.
Hello Paul,
for "0 traffic after x time" you can trigger a notification, but not change the sensor status, that would only be possible using limits but limits trigger immediately.
The best option here is to extract the historic data and process it elsewhere. For extraction you can use the PRTG API or the PRTG Data Exporter.
