User Story
We want to monitor TLS-certificates used for SMTP Connectors identically to the way SSL-Certificate-Sensor works for Webservers: Monitor Expiration and Key-Length, Check if Trusted CA, Check if Self-Signed...
Details of User Story
Currently it is not possible to monitor TLS-enabled-SMTP-Connectors with PRTG SSL-Certificate-Sensor.
Probably this might have something to do with the way TLS is handled in SMTP connections by issuing starttls to initiate TLS-connection in the course of the SMTP-dialogue.
Acceptance criteria
- Criterion #1
Sensor that can connect to the port that is used for SMTP. Port number is configurable.
- Criterion #2
Sensor that talks to the SMTP Server according to SMTP-Protocol-specification.
