Hi CrazyCDN,

Thank you for your post.

If you don't have SNMP Sensors on the corresponding device and still notice SNMP requests, I recommend disabling the System Information in PRTG. The System Information is a feature to see at a glance what is going on the systems you have in your network. This feature uses the SNMP protocol, among others. To disable this feature, please follow these steps:

  1. In PRTG, navigate to the corresponding device
  2. Switch to the "Settings" tab
  3. Scroll down to "Advanced Network Analysis"
  4. Disable the inheritance
  5. Select "Disabled" by "System Information"

Please note that you also able to disable the "System Information" on Root level. This way, the setting isn't inherited to any other group or device.

Excellent, thanks for your response. The section was so deep into the options, I couldn't find it and the wording was a little different than I was expecting!

Thanks again!
