Hi,

Can I install the downloaded update file from one PRTG server to another? Because the other server don't have internet access. It both have 1000 sensors(different license).

Hi Ben,

Yes this is possible! The installer will work on all PRTG Systems as long as the used licence had active maintenance during the release of the corresponding PRTG version.

Hello, unfortunately my PRTG can not download and install the update itself, which is probably related to the fact that the internet works only through proxy and otherwise no internet. It may be that the connection is too slow. Is there a possibility to download the update manually? I currently have under 100 sensors.

If the auto update download doesn't work, this can happen if your firewall or UTM is blocking the download, you can download it here


If you want to ensure that your network security solution isn't blocking the download, please ensure that the domains mentioned in our KB article (KB: Which Servers does PRTG connect to for Software Update) are allowed and whitelisted if necessary.
