Since a few days our PRTG Server PRTG drive grows very fast.

  1. How can i see which sensor uses most disk space?
  2. Or which file groth most the last days?
  3. D:\prtg\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor\Logs\corecore.log is about 50GB, can i remove it to a backup folder as described here (or are they talking about an other log?) https://helpdesk.paessler.com/en/support/solutions/articles/60031-core-server-log-vliewer

Thanks a lot Maria

Hi there,

The logs files should role automatically. In this way the size of the log files should be limited. You can backup / delete the Core.log file without an issue. If the file is missing, PRTG simply starts to create a new one.

Hi Moritz Thanks a lot for your information. So we will move the core.log to a backupfolder and see what happens. Is there any posibility to find out who and when a sensor was added or the settings of a sensor were ajusted? Thanks a lot

Hi Maria,

Yes, these information are located in the "History" tab of the Sensor in the PRTG UI.
