Hello, the Schedules are indeed the best approach here. When the sensor is out of the schedule it will remain as paused. Then when the schedule kicks in it will activate the sensor, then pause again.
If you need the sensor to remain active but only scan the target once a week you can create a new Scaning interval and set it to 7 days. It will scan every seven days and remain active. Unfortunately I think it is still not possible to specify a day of the week. You can see more information in this other article.
