I've found some fairly brief instructions on how to enable the trap collector to send an email but I just can;t get it. I;d like for particular traps received to generate an email alert. Please can you point me in any good direction to seek a detailed answer?

Thank you for your feedback. There's a detailed guide explaining how the Trap and Syslog receiver sensors work here:

Basically, it consists of:

  1. Identifying the relevant traps for alerts and adjusting the Warning and Error filters accordingly
  2. Assigning a State Trigger for Warning or Down that will send notifications after 0 seconds in the relevant state.
