Does the pop3 Round trip sensor have to be on an exchange server?
We have 4 exchange servers, if one goes down the mail will still flow. We will get alerts from the other sensors.
I would like to know if it is possible to place the pop3 sensor a device that just monitors traffic.

Hello there,
What do you mean by "just monitors traffic"? The roundtrip sensor is for monitoring the flow of emails. Maybe the WMI Exchange Server Sensor suits your needs better.
Kind regards,

Hello,
forgive my ignorance. Can a POP3 Round trip sensor be added to a non-exchange device?
That is the question.

Hi Luis,
Well the sensor is called "POP3 Roundtrip", so the device needs to a POP3-capable email server, it doesn't have to be an Exchange. See also here for some general introduction about POP3/IMAP roundtrip monitoring.
