I have noticed that the ESXi host health sensor cannot display several components that it tries to use by default. Here is the list that is displayed in the header:

Unknown. 203 elements return a unknown state: CPU2 Level-3 Cache; CPU2 Level-2 Cache; CPU2 Level-1 Cache; CPU1 Level-3 Cache; CPU1 Level-2 Cache; CPU1 Level-1 Cache; Battery 7.1; Intel Corporation Xeon E7 v4/Xeon E5 v4/Xeon E3 v4/Xeon D PCI Express Root Port 3 #3; Intel Corporation Xeon E7 v4/Xeon E5 v4/Xeon E3 v4/Xeon D PCI Express Root Port 3 #3; Intel Corporation Xeon E7 v4/Xeon E5 v4/Xeon E3 v4/Xeon D PCI Express Root Port 2 #2; Intel Corporation Xeon E7 v4/Xeon E5 v4/Xeon E3 v4/Xeon D PCI Express Root Port 1 #1; Renesas Technology Corp. I would expect that, at minimum, some of the listed CPUs and power control units would appear. I always change setting for Handling of Unknown States from Show unknown states (default) to Do not show unknown states to prevent a warning state but then none of those CPUs appear. Is that an expected result?

Hello Tom,

We can only show what the ESXi Host is reporting back to us via it's SOAP API, if it doesn't report anything back to us the we can sadly only show an unknown state.

In this case you might also want to check if the credentials you set up for this sensor are correct and have the right permissions set up in it's parent device as described in our manual.

Kind regards,
