Synology USBshare Disk Free

Good morning,

I have a question. We have a synology NAS with an NTFS usb share attached. if I want to connect a Free Disk sensor to it, it does not see the USB share. If I format the USB to EXT4 then I can add the sensor. But I would like the USB disk to remain NTFS formatted.

So my question. Is it possible to monitor a USB disk that is NTFS formatted and attached to a synology NAS.

If the drive itself is missing in the SNMP output of the Synology DiskStation we can't monitor it with the regular sensors.

It might be possible to monitor it through the SSH Disk Free Sensor if you have enabled SSH on the Synology device and have set up those credentials.
