As we are frantically deprecating Basic Auth for our customers one of the last steps is getting rid of our IMAP sensors. We are able to set up the Microsoft 365 mailbox sensors but the problem is that these have way less options than the IMAP sensors.

For example:

  • For some sensors we use regex as we are only able to get a summary mail with all backup jobs -> Not an option
  • For some sensors we use the option to set sensor to "Down" if it finds "Failed" in the mail -> Not an option

Are there any plans to give the new sensors the same search/filter options or is this technically not possible?

We are aware of the currently missing features in the Microsoft 365 Mail Sensor in comparison to the IMAP Sensors.

We are currently evaluating if and how this features can be implemented in a further update.
