Service PRTG Application Server

In the Administration Tool i can install the "Service PRTG Application Server". Everything is working well. The services "Core Server" and "Probe" are installed an running. What advantage we get when we install this service?

I cant find anything in the PRTG Administration Tool documentation: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/prtg_server_administrator

Hi there,

Thanks for your KB post. The Application Server is used by our new UI

Since the new UI is still in the testing phase, therefore you can't find it in our official manual yet.

I hope this is clarified.
