We are using PRTG Network Monitor and we need to collect NetFlow data for the subnet 10.4.1.0 and produce dashboards for visual representation. Specifically, granular view of bandwidth and network traffic to be presented.

Can you guide us how we can configure the Netflow collector for the subnet 10.4.1.0 using PRTG Network Monitor?

Thanks

Hello Sanoj.

Thank you for contacting PRTG support.

Here you have a manual with a video tutorial included for the netflow configuration https://www.paessler.com/it-explained/netflow

Hope this will help.

Hi Team,

Thanks for the details.

Please assist us for below query as well.

We have Huawei network devices here and these device supports NetStream instead of netflow.

Is it possible to use Netstream for netflow sensor? Can Huawei devices (Switches) be supported in PRTG for netflow?

Thanks, Sanoj

Hello Dear customer,

There are no native Huawei Sensors available in PRTG, it depends on whether the physical device you want to monitor supports protocols that PRTG uses. The most common are SNMP, Netflow, Sflow or WMI. PRTG is also able to monitor various types of servers (Webserver, FTP, DNS, SQL, etc. to see the full list of available sensor types, please take a look at: https://www.paessler.com/manuals/prtg/available_sensor_types.htm**).

You can test the most common protocols with one of our freeware networking tools: https://www.paessler.com/tools
