User story
As a PRTG user, I want native sensors for monitoring HP Nimble storage
Details of user story
I found this thread in the KB : https://helpdesk.paessler.com/en/support/solutions/articles/74856-nimble-storage-and-vmware-vcsa-sensors#reply-313110 where the same request was made but it was never really put to a vote and bled out in 2018. In the thread a template is mentioned which works but gives very little information and also the MIB files from HPE are not sufficiënt and are a pain to implement. Monitoring our previous NetApp storage was no problem and I would like to see that I can monitor our Nimble in the same simple way by adding ready made PRTG sensors. With a lot of hassle I can now implement some sensors but I lack information on eg. hardware health, disk free information of the volumes etc.. All sensors that are availabe for other storage brands but not for HPE Nimble.
Acceptance criteria
- Ability to add ready made sensors for HPE Nimble
This basically gives us a set of cornerstones that need to be there in order for the feature to be implemented.
