We use a 3rd party ITSM application which has API interface. We've created some scripts to run on notifications which create tickets through that API. We'd like to expand that, but with thousands of sensors it's a long and tedious task to apply.

With notification scripts/actions being stored at the PRTG core server, would it be possible to allow Notifications to be applied to sensor type (so apply to ALL SSL Certificate Sensors, or apply to ALL Disk Space Free)?

Yes, if you create a library containing all of your sensors of a particular type, you can then set up a notification for that library which will then apply to all those sensors in that library. In the library you will need to create a node. See also the Paessler website: How to set up notifications via the PRTG web interface.

This answer was originally from How to set up a notification for all sensors of one type in bulk?

Hope this helps
