Hi Paessler,
We have rebuilt our Paessler environment. As part of this rebuild we have put in a Production/Development scenario.
Only sensors that are authorised and tested will be put into the production environment.
On building the development environment is there a way to license the server? I have tried using the existing one, but it says it is in use. This reverts back to a demo key.
Our current license is PRTG Network Monitor XL1

I'm afraid that each license beside the XL5 license and PRTG Enterprise Monitor can only be installed on a single machine. If you deactivate the license on the systems, it will fall back to a freeware, restricting PRTG to run 100 sensors in parallel. For testing purposes, it will either require a second license to run two instances at the same time or you can pause sensors on your test machine to stay below the 100 sensor mark and just test newly added sensors.
