Does anyone have a procedure for removing tags that are not currently being used? Its hard to sort by tag when you have to scroll through a whole list of tags that aren't even used by any devices.

Hi,
Presumably this question is no longer relevant. But if anyone finds this KB article and is disappointed with the answer, I have a hopefully useful answer here: Unused tags do not exist. Once a tag is no longer assigned anywhere, it disappears from the configuration. If a tag is still there, then it is still assigned somewhere. Then simply select the sensor via 'Sensors | By Tag' and a list is displayed where this tag is used.
Best regards,
Alain

Hi there,
I'm afraid I don't know of any method for doing so.
The configured tags are stored within the configuration file "PRTG Configuration.dat" in your data folder (standard configuratin: C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor)
The used tags for an object do look like this:
<tags>
ciscocpu cpuloadsensor snmpciscosystemhealthsensor systemhealth
</tags>
Kind regards,
Andreas Günther
