How do i marry up the Interface number detected by PRTG snmp traffic sensor and the actual NIC port on the ESXi host? The ESXi cli shows the PCI Device ID as a hex number, but the numbering in slightly different on PRTG, e.g. there are not hex letters. For example, PRTG detected an interface number as 6:16:00:1, however, on the host (the closed thing i can see that matches/looks similar to the PRTG number) are:

vmnic0 0000:002:00.0
vmnic1 0000:002:00.1
vmnic10 0000:011:00.0
vmnic11 0000:011:00.1

Dear Tomjedur

Please go to the PRTG device of that sensor and open the device settings. Please open the "SNMP compatibility options".

Available placeholders are:

[port]
[ifalias]
[ifname]
[ifdescr]
[ifspeed]
[ifsensor]

You can use multiple placeholders, separated by space. Please add more placeholders to see if you can match the sensors.

This is pretty much what you need
