I want to explore IPv6 traffic in PRTG using netflow information, gathered from Cisco swiches (3650 & 3850). Can I make a filter to extract IPv6 traffic form all traffic? I saw that you can do this with netwerk traffic analysis, but not with netflow.

Hi there,

I'm afraid that the Flow Sensors within PRTG aren't IPv6 capable, sorry.

Just found out about NetFlow... and now I can't use it because you don't have IPv6 support. It would only see half our network.

Hello Aaron,

I understand that IPv6 support of flow sensors might be vital to you. We will always favor features/improvements from which the most of our users can benefit, as it's only been requested by a few customers, the prioritization is not very high at the moment I'm afraid.

Best regards, Felix

Update: NetFlow V9, NetFlow V9 (Custom), IPFIX, and IPFIX (Custom) sensors support IPv6 flows in PRTG version 18.2.40 or later.
