I have been trying to configure ptrg to detect where traffic is going with no success. I have a router passing packets from two segregated internal networks to 6 different tunnels going to different locations, I can see the usage of lan a and loan b, I can also see the usage of each tunnel. I want to be able to see how much of a certain tunnel is being used by lan a or b at any given time or see if one of the lans is sending data through a tunnel it shouldn't be. Can this be visualised with PRTG?

Hello,

Does your router support flow-based monitoring?

If so, you can use one of the flow sensors to monitor traffic passing through the router. There you can also apply the filters to obtain detailed information about e.g. destination IP, traffic type, etc.

Please also have a look at this article: How do I discern excessive bandwidth usage with PRTG?

Best regards
