I have some servers and I would like to know the conversations between them. Ideally netflow is a good option, but my switch Cisco Nexus 5548p is not compatible.

I would like to create a map of conversations. The info I'd need is:

• Source and destination IPv4 or IPv6 addresses

• Source and destination TCP/User Datagram Protocol (UDP) ports

I would need to check the conversations that happens in one month, so simple packet capture maybe is too heavy.

Any idea? Does Prtg offer any way to achieve this?

You could install a remote probe on one server and have the Packet Sniffer sensor analyze the traffic for you. They work just like the flow sensors, but they don't need any flow compatability.

Manual for the Packet Sniffer sensor can be found here. A manual on the filtering option is located here.
