Minimum scanning interval for MODBUS TCP Sensors

PRTG 21.4.72.1649

I need to implement PRTG in an industrial environment to use MODBUS TCP sensors that interrogate PLC registers at frequencies of 5 to 10 seconds.

The total of sensors will be less than 100

Is it possible to carry out this scanning frequency? Any particular recommendation?

Hello Luis,

We only recommend lower "30" sec scanning interval for Ping sensor only. The rest of the sensor should be configured"60" sec and above. (Depend upon the the sensor type)

However, you can test it with the lower scanning interval as per your requirement and let us know if it helps.
