When adding the Cisco System Health Other sensor, it will discover the light level info from the transceivers and works really well, however when adding new transceiver to the switch the only way seemingly to add these new transceiver into this "System Health Other" is to delete the sensor and create a new one. The issue is the data is gone once you do this, which is helpful for trending.

Can you add new channels or force a discovery of new channels?

Hello Mark,

This "Meta Scan" that looks for available monitoring objects is only performed once during sensor creation. It cannot be triggered manually on an existing sensor I'm afraid.

Thank you for the reply! I think I have a work around in mind to keep data for critical ports (up links) and just keep "tabs" on the others on an ad-hoc basis.
