Hi Geist,

Did you already check if all https://helpdesk.paessler.com/en/support/solutions/articles/76000065198 requirements are fulfilled?

  • Python 2.7
  • python-dev and build-essential packages Please do also check the core server log file if the probe requests arrive at the core server:
Core Server: C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor\Logs (System)\PRTG Core Server Log (1/2).log

Hello Felix, I did the installation as described. However, the connection still doesn't work. It's the Ubuntu Snapy. The installer does not recognize any device ID either. As soon as I try to start the service, an error occurs that the "chroot" has no authorization for it. I had to install Python and the probe in classic mode.

Best regards, Geist

Hello Geist,

I'm afraid that the mini probe feature comes as is and that we did not test it with all Linux distributions and the snap package. If I understand you correctly, the probe is up and running on another distribution now, so I'd recommend to stick to this solution.

Best regards, Felix
