I have a Telephone Server in one Network and a branch of that in another Network in another City. I want to Monitor the reliability of this Connection. How can I achieve this with PRTG?

Hi there,

There are several possibilities to monitor different metrics of the connection between the server and the branch office:

  • Install a Remote Probe in each office and create a Quality of Service Round Trip Sensor
  • For the basic connection, you can install a Ping Sensor which points to the public IP address of the gateway router
  • If your router is from Cisco and support SLA monitoring, you can create an SLA rule and add the IP SLA Sensor
