After installing latest PRTG rel. 17.4.36.3670, all Windows Update Status sensors stopped working properly. I get the following error message : XML: The returned XML does not match the expected schema. (code: PE233) -- JSON: The returned JSON does not match the expected structure (Invalid JSON.). (code: PE231) I'm using PowerShell 3.0 on Probe and target systems as previously recommended. Many thanks for your feedback.

Dear pleclercq,

in order to have this analyzed, please open the sensor settings and activate the Result-to-Disk feature. The logs will appear in "C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor\Logs (Sensors)". Please forward use those as email file attachment to support@paessler.com.

Hi,

Please find here below the content of the "Result-to-Disk" for one of my "Windows Update Status" sensors.

Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Paessler.Config, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. at LastWindowsUpdateSensor.Program.Main(String[] args)

Might it be a missing file in the last PRTG release ?

Dear pleclercq,

please check if there is a file "Paessler.Config.dll" located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\PRTG Network Monitor\Sensor System". Please also do so for the remote probes, if you have any.
