We have a number of sensors that are active for a week at a time, only 2-3 times a year. These sensors are for devices that travel to trade show booths. I don't want to delete the sensors, and pausing indefinitely just clogs the list of paused devices. I want an option beyond "paused". I want an option that simply disables/removes a sensor from "paused" list.
Another reason to remove long-paused sensors from the list is because we have numerous users around the world who pause sensors indefinitely rather than define a specific time window. This means that over time someone has to go in and determine if a sensor should remain paused, or if it should be resumed. It helps to watch the Home Screen "Paused" value to determine when the number of paused sensors has changed. Having 30-40 extra long-paused sensors clog up that list makes maintenance more time consuming.
So we need a third option: Active - Paused - Off.
Thank you,
Dustin

Dear Dustin,
we sometimes get asked for a kind of "offline" status, but don't plan to implement such status. The reason is that we want to keep PRTG as straightforward and easy to learn as possible, this also means to keep the number of possible sensor statuses as small as possible. While additional statuses would be helpful in certain cases, we think that conceptual simplicity helps PRTG more than covering as many different use cases as possible.

In the new HTML5 WebGUI, you can hide "paused" sensors from View so that only active sensors are visible. Helps a great deal to clean up dashboards.
