Hello,

Is the communication used between the core server and the remote probe in a scenario where the communication will be performed via the Internet is encrypted?

If the answer is yes, does it mean that they communicate with PRTG internal certificates?

If the answer is no, is the best way to close a VPN between the core server and the remote probe?

Thank you.

Dear sandroalves,

the probe-core connection is SSL encrypted, using TLS 1.2 (with a fallback option of 1.1) That means, a VPN is not required. You don't need to install certificates, the probe-core connection is handled completely by PRTG.
