during the upgrade process is it necessary to stop the system altogether?

Is there an alternative for the environment to remain available during the upgrade process?

How long does it take to upgrade to 3500 sensors?

Hi there,

PRTG's services will be stopped during the update process, mostly a reboot is also required to dissolve file locks. How long does it take? Well, it depends, it will take longer on your 2 Core virtual machine than on a more powerful physical machine, but in the end I would expect a "monitoring downtime" of only a few minutes. I mean while you're at it you could as well taking care of installing missing Windows updates as well :)
