Hello,

Having updated to the latest version of PRTG recently, the first thing I noticed was that mousing over a list of sensors would sometimes cause the selection box around the sensor to become too large. I'm not even sure why the selection box (for lack of a better term) has to change sizes as all. It adds nothing to the usability of the interface, IMHO. If anything, maybe a highlighted or dotted border around the sensor in order to show the user which current sensor has the mouse over focus?

This brings me to my second point. With the selection box being so obnoxiously big, it makes it difficult to move the sensor and rearrange them. When I move a sensor, it doesn't end up where the UI shows that it should go, and usually ends up above or below what is being displayed.

I read another forum post about there being so much wasted white space with the new UI. I strongly agree with that sentiment. Now, in order to see all my sensors at a glance, I have to scroll several times.

The former interface was more usable and elegant. This new one seems bloated doesn't feel as snappy as before. I used to enjoy using the product, but now it is something I dread and do only as past of my job function.

I can't be the only one that feels this way. I hope you'll take my words into consideration.

Thanks.

Hi there,

We are already aware of all the mentioned points and we thank you for your honest feedback. We are already working on fixes for the stated points which will be released soon with a lot of other fixes. We have also heavily improved the speed under "Devices" when you scroll through the device tree. What I would suggest is, that you could wait for the next bigger release which will consist of all these fixes and then you can check the feel and usability again, which should have changed positively.

Best regards and again, thank you for your feedback.
