on some servers the SNMP CPU Load sensor does not report all processors but does on others. i have tried to re-crete the sensor but no change. also added the CPU WMI Load sensor and still incorrect for example: server1 - has 24 total logical cores (12 showing in PRTG), running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1 64-bit and a remote wmi query shows the following
name NumberOfLogicalProcessors ---- ------------------------- Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @ 2.40GHz 12 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @ 2.40GHz 12
server2 - has 48 total logical cores(48 showing in PRTG), running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1 64-bit and a remote wmi query shows the following
Name NumberOfLogicalProcessors ---- ------------------------- Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7- 4807 @ 1.87GHz 12 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7- 4807 @ 1.87GHz 12 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7- 4807 @ 1.87GHz 12 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7- 4807 @ 1.87GHz 12
any thoughts as to why server1 only shows 12 cores?
Article Comments
the WMI sensor shows 12 for server1 and server2 shows 32 I believe due to the WMI limit.

What count do you get reported within the WMI sensors? That's a bit unclear here :)
