I'm not familiar with zabbix_sender but I assume that it is some kind of messaging feature within zabbix? If so, what do you want to exactly? PRTG Network Monitor comes as full software including a messaging system. You can easily setup notifications via email or SMS according to your needs.

Overview

Zabbix sender is a command line utility that may be used to send performance data to Zabbix server for processing.

The utility is usually used in long running user scripts for periodical sending of availability and performance data.

For sending results directly to Zabbix server or proxy, a trapper item type must be configured.

Hello degenaro,

The probably best approach would be to test PRTG and check its feature set by yourself. The trial version can be used for a time period 30 days and comes with no limitations.
