Hi,

I'm trying to monitor my Bandwidth with a HTPP Advanced Sensor. So far so good - but I want to store the downloadable files to monitor on the PRTG Server. Where is the best place to store such files? I saw a folder called public under the webroot folder, but when I try to access it via a webbrowser I'll be redirected to the PRTG login page.

Is there a way to configure access rights on those folders?

Thanks, Mike

Hello Felix,

thank you - but downloading such files needs authentication on the PRTG-Server. I was not able to configure the Sensor to authenticate against the PRTG Server in order to download the exe-file from the public folder. I've tried all three options, neither did work. Do you have any other idea what I can check?

Hello FlipFlop,

You're right, the authentication cannot be bypassed for security reasons. I'm afraid that there is no workaround here to publish files via the PRTG webserver without authentication. The files need to be published via another webserver on a different port. I edited my original answer if other customers look for similar questions.

Best regards, Felix
