I'm getting this error when accessing a shared folder on a Windows system. I know for sure that the domain (.\), the username (administrator) and the password are filled in correctly at the device settings for the sensor, and I've followed all described procedures in the diverse topics related to this error, but still no success. I can actually open the shared folder on the commandprompt of the PRTG monitor server using the credentials, so all network related options are correct (no firewalls, virusscanners or what so ever blocking). Any suggestions?

Hi there,

Please try the FQDN of the device as the "Windows Domain" instead of a point. So change the ".\" to the hostname of the monitored device. Does it work afterwards?

Best regards.

Sorry, but it was the Windows firewall on the targetcomputer :( It only accepted a few IP addresses, and one of the addresses was the one I was testing from. The PRTG monitor server IP address had to be added.
