Connect With 3rd Party Application

Dear Friends,

I have installed PRTG and it works ok. But i have an application installed on server that allows me to add the SNMP address in it and get notifications for the errors it may have. How can i connect this third party application on the PRTG? Is there a client software that must be installed on the Server that the application is installed?

Hi there,

The application probably sends so called SNMP Traps which can be monitored using the
SNMP Trap Receiver Sensor. Configure the application to send the traps to the PRTG Server in order for the sensor to receive them.
