Good morning,
I want to know if the PRTG Network Monitor is considered a Newtwork Managemente System definied in the OSI Network management Model compose for the five Osi functional areas: Fault, Configuration, Security, accounting and performance.
If it is yes, how PRTG works for every functional area?
I want to know if PRTG is a strong monitoring tool or a network system management.
Thanks.

Dear Icalderon
PRTG is a network monitor. It is not a network manager. While we sometimes get feature requests for this, we decided to focus on better monitoring instead.
To be a bit more specific, PRTG is a vendor-agnostic all-purpose network monitor. Out of the box, you can monitor most (if not all) your commonly used devices in a network, get notified on alarms, and create reports.
Configuration or backup management however is not offered by PRTG.
