is it possible to install a probe on a UNIX / AIX system and if yes, how?

Actually, you can install either our Remote Probe installer on a Windows machine or our Mini Probe on a Linux machine. But it is not possible to install a probe on a Unix/AIX System, I'm afraid.
However, if you want to monitor your Unix device, please refer to this article.
