Hello, is there a possibility to set the ping-sensor to "paused" instead of "acknowledged" automatically, if the device is down? We have some devices, which we want to monitor, but they are not so important, that we want to receive notifications if they are down. The "alarm" and the "acknowledged" state will influence our prtg-maps too.
If this devices are avaiable again, the sensor should change to normal operation-mode again. The other sensors on this devices should be paused by dependencies too.
We want no red sensors in PRTG if one of this devices is down or offline. But blue sensors would be ok in this case.
Is there any possiblity in PRTG to solve this?
Paused sensors will not come out of the paused status on their own when the device is up again, since no actual checks are done during the pause. Hence there's no way for the sensor or PRTG to know when to unpause the sensor/device. You could pause it for a certain timespan and pause it again after being erroneous again, but that would also cause down sensors to a certain extent.
