Hello,
If I install PRTG Core Server in AWS do i also need to install a Probe in AWS?
Also, is there any document/s on how to get PRTG installed and configured in AWS to monitor my AWS infrastructure along with my remote sites?
Thanks in advance

Hello there,
When installing the PRTG core server in AWS you already have a probe, the core server's local probe, which can monitor then all devices that can be reached inside your AWS infrastructure. Another approach would be to run your PRTG server on some local site (aka "not in the cloud") and install only a remote probe on an AWS host to monitor all things AWS-related.
We have no detailed instructions for running core server or remote probes in AWS, but basically the same things apply as with local installations:
- Core Server needs to be reachable on a public IP/hostname when run in AWS or through a VPN tunnel if you like for logging in and being reachable for Remote Probes.
- Remote Probes need to able to connect on tcp port 23560 to the core server
