Clone a EXExmlSensor to multiple devices

Hi @ All,

I've wrote an EXExmlSensor based on Powershell. Thx to the Knowledebase Folks which helped me further. Now i should deploy this Sensor to around 500 Machines.

Is there any possibility to do this at once? Sure i can clone this sensor 500 times but i dont want to ;-). I've tested with an Template. But the Template does not enclose the EXExml Sensor. Now I have no more ideas how I can distribute the sensor.

You can actually clone objects. The way how you do it is described in your PRTG webinterface under "Setup > PRTG API > Object Manipulation > Adding Objects". The basic call is: /api/duplicateobject.htm?id=ID-SENSOR&name=SENSORNAME&targetid=ID-TARGET-DEVICE&username=USER&passhash=PASSHASH(Setup > Account Settings > My Account > Show Passhash)
