I read PRTG Manual: Sensor Channels Settings. As I know after discovery for temperature Router device, by default "Upper Error Limit" will have value let say 70C. but why "Upper Warning Limit" is left blank?

Is it possible for PRTG get the value for "Upper Warning Limit" automatically ? or I must enter manually one by one ?

I am working in Core Switch Device with many slot of modules

Hi there,

Are the thresholds properly set on the device it self? Please forward us the used sensortype for the temperature sensor.

Best regards.

Hi,

The Threshold on device seem like below : "module 1 outlet temperature: 29C threshold #1 for module 1 outlet temperature: (sensor value >= 55C) is system minor alarm threshold #2 for module 1 outlet temperature: (sensor value >= 70C) is system major alarm" I use "Sensor System Health Temperature", When I go to "setting", I see "Upper Error Limit" value is "70C". but left blank in "Upper Warning Limit" value. It's value suppose to be "55C"

Is there any way to get the value automatically just like "Upper Error Limit" ? so Network Administrator could detect Warning alert from PRTG if temperature reach "Upper Warning Limit"

regards Abroham

Ho there,

Thank you for the explanation, but as requested, what exact sensortype are you using to query the temperature? :)
