After installing the freetrial version all I get is "The server was stopped System Emergency. The system was halted, because of the following: No configuration file found, but monitoring data for an unknown configuration exists! Please attend to the problem and restart the core server service thereafter. " It would be helpful if it stated which actual file it was talking about! I have spent a lot of time searching and deleting various files but to no avail. Please help

The above error message eis triggered if the "PRTG Configuration.dat" is not present, while the "Monitoring Datbase" folder is. Both items are usually located in C:\ProgramData\Paessler\PRTG Network Monitor.
If you want to start over with a completely new setup, please remove or rename hat entire folder. If the configuration got deleted by accident, please restore it using the autobackup archive.
