For example I have 3 ping sensors on a group and I want to know the average ping.
Is there a sensor that can display the average ping from those three ping sensors inside a group? or could it be done with custom sensor?

Hi Arne,
All the sensors are related to a device and a device is mandatory to assign a IP address.
To create a factory sensor means that this sensor does not probe the IP address that is related to?
Do you think is it possible to get the average of 5 pings and then, if the average increases a value get alarmed?
Thanks

Dear lcalderon
The factory sensor can be located anywhere, it does not use the IP of its parent device.
It is possible to add five ping values and device the sum by the fix value 5 to compute the average ping. It is also possible to use this channel to set a limit to raise a sensor alarm.

Dear Rustic
There is no average group-ping sensor available in PRTG. However you can setup a factory sensor and compute the average of multiple source sensors there. The formula has to be entered manually, but this sensor provides mathematical operations to compute a custom result using other sensor channels as input.
