We have an existing PRTG 500 License with expired Maintenance. But about 2days ago, our PRTG server sent us a "Activation grace period expired" status.

We are under knowledge that this PRTG server of ours will be working forever even with an expired maintenance plan. We won't get any updates, but will work.

So basically our question is, why did out PRTG "expire"? or stopped working? Should this 500probe PRTG server work forever?

Hope somebody can explain the licensing properly.
