Custom Event Log Sensor

Hi,

I would like to create an event log sensor that works in exactly the same way as the standard WMI event log sensor, but for Applications and Services Logs (specifically, Microsoft, Windows, AppLocker, EXE and DLL).

Could anyone point me to a good starting point on how to do this?
