Hi,
we have a EMC Isilon which responses to SNMP requests with an different IP than the IP we requested to.
For example we request the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.12124.2.1.2.0 to destination IP 192.168.1.1 and the SNMP response is from source IP 192.168.1.2.
SNMP Tester says no response but the snmp custom sensor in PRTG itself is working.
So is that a bug in SNMP Tester? Or a missing feature?

This may be normal behavior of the Isilon if the Request IP is the SmartConnect IP. The response IP will mostly be one of the Node IPs.

Hello blachetta,
we appreciate your inquiry.
The behavior from PRTG and the SNMP Tester should be the same, but as the SNMP Tester is freeware and provided as-is, please understand that we cannot provide deep support for the program.
As an alternative, please check NET-SNMP as it may provide different results (command-line only). The Windows build should be available here: Sourceforge: NET-SNMP 5.5 Binaries
