I'm trying to find an 'How To' to setup monitoring for a Windows Server Service. I've looked and must be missing something because I would've thought that it's a common thing to do.
Right now I just want to test, so any example of a windows server service will work
Thank you for any help

Yes, I've added the device and I was going to use WMI to monitor the service.
I click on 'Add Sensor', I then select 'Custom Sensors', then Windows under the Target Type and then I'm unsure if I should use 'WMI Custom' or 'WMI Custom String'.
After I select WMI Custom or WMI Custom String, what do I need to finish up the sensor? Some string to monitor the service?

Hello there,
Have you tried using the WMI Service Sensor or the SNMP Windows Service Sensor?
The basic approach is to add the device you want to monitor first. Then you can add those sensors to it. For the WMI flavor you need to have credentials configured in the device's "Settings" that have access to this device. For the SNMP flavor you need to make sure that the server is able to respond to SNMP requests.
