We currently have a 2500 sensor license for our PRTG installation which is backed up to one fail over node in a cluster. How many more servers can we add as fail over nodes on this license?

Your license allows you to use up to two failover nodes :)

Many thanks Stephan. Just to clarify, that's 1 master and 2 failover so 3 in total? Does the amount of failover nodes increase inline with the increased sensor licenses?

Ah sorry, my bad. You only can use one core server and one failover node with that license. The licensing model "PRTG Corporate Country" allows more failover nodes:

Corporate Country
Unlimited number of core servers, 5 nodes per cluster (that makes 1 core and 4 failovers)
